Oil Well Downhole Storm Valve / Sub Surface Control Valve For Well Testing
The Storm Valve is a combination valve and backoff joint that allows operators to close in a well that is being drilled without having to pull the workstring. The storm valve is used as the Sub surface Control Valve (SSC) for the well testing and well completion operation, which is especially useful in offshore operations when storms are expected or when surface equipment, such as blowout preventers, must be repaired. The valve eliminates the hazard of leaving pipe standing in the derrick during a storm.
The Storm Valve can save rig time and be easily operated uring operation. The subsurface control valve tests blowout preventers during drilling operations and increase the rig crew’s safety
