Introudction of Multi Cycle Circulating Valve

 

Multi Cycle Circulating Valve is a full opening and annulus pressure-operated re-closable circulating valve, the valve is operated by repeatedly cycling the annulus pressure and can be open and closed many times. Multi Cycle Circulating Valve is acceptable for the formation testing in cased hole, oil tube tradition perforating tube string testing and cycle operation in the conjunction of perforation and full-opening formation testing.

Pressure and Function Test of Multi-cycle circulating valve

 

The Nitrogen Chamber Seal test

Charge the nitrogen chamber with nitrogen which purity is 99.99%(oxygen content is less than 0.1%)from the nitrogen filler body after finishing the tool assembly, the charging pressure is 27.5MPa (4000PSI), put the tool in the water. Observe it for two hours .There should be no bubbles. Then take it out and keep the pressure for eight hours. There should be no pressure drop.

 

The Ball Valve seal and inner pressure test:

1. Seal and inner pressure test in the upper of the ball: Install the test caps to both ends of the tool, increase the pressure to 27.5MPa(4000Psi)from the port of the oil case, then bleed off to 20MPa(2800Psi)to function the tool, make the tool in the blank position Ⅰor Ⅱ(the circulating port is close, the ball is also closed),increase water pressure to 35MPa(5000Psi) in the upper end of the ball, keep the pressure for 15 minutes, there should be no pressure drop.

2. Seal and inner pressure test in the lower of the ball: Install the test caps on the lower end of the tool, increase water pressure to 70MPa (10000Psi) in the lower end of the ball, keep the pressure for 15 minutes, there should be no pressure drop.

HSE﹡Safety instructions:

 

* When running each pressure test,  the pressure must be increased gradually. When the pressure is up

   to 20MPa, hold on for one minute, then every 10MPa keep it for one minute until the rating pressure;

* During pressure testing, the DST tool should be placed in the test pit and cover the protecting board on 

  the pressure test plug.

* During the whole testing process, make sure the entire test operator keep away from plug and joint

  which may lapse.

* Test area should set isolation, others except operator not allowed to enter test area.

* If there is anybody in the test area, it should set isolation, avoiding test production fly off the test area.
