Introudction of DST OMNI Valve
The DST OMNI Circualting Valve is a sort of annulus pressure operated and reclosable circulating valve. Throughout the pressure operation, the OMNI Circulating Valve is repeatedly cycled up to a predetermined annulus pressure and then released.
The OMNI Circulating valve consists of four sections including nitrogen section, oil system, circulating valve, and ball valve, the structure and function is the similar with Halliburtun type.
The nitrogen section of the OMNI Circulating Valve contains the nitrogen gas that counter balances the hydrostatic and annulus pressures.The amount of nitrogen in the OMNI Circulating Valve depends on well hydrostatic and oil well temperature. This information must be known to properly prepare before the OMNI Circualting valve is run into the well.

Operation of the DST OMNI Valve
When the OMNI Circulating Valve is in the well test position, we can do the flow test in the oil well. In this test position, the circulating ports of the OMNI Valve are closed and the ball valve is opened. When the downhole drills stem test is closed, the OMNI valve is in the well test position during flow and shut in period, and the workstring can be pressure-tested in the blank position as the ball valve closes before the cicualting valve opens. When the circulating ports of the OMNI valve are open and the ball valve is closed, the fluid in the oil well can be pumped in either direction through the tool in the circulating position.
